EL AVILA – Casa MS seems to sit in wonder at the beautiful mountainous landscape of the El Avila National Park. ODA – Oficina de Arquitectura oriented the design of this family house in Caracas, Venezuela, towards the views, surrounding each floor with glazed openings and balconies.
Juan Machado Añez, co-founder of ODA together with Eric Brewer Leal, was the architect responsible for this house which is 'built on concrete slab and direct foundation.' The three storey house and an outdoors area that includes a pool, parking space and garden, make up the residence’s 764-sq-m.
The main entrance to the house is on the ground floor, which includes the kitchen, service area, guest bathroom as well as the dining room and main hall which overlook the pool and garden surrounding the house.
Private living spaces – bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and a private living room – are distributed across the first floor, while the upper level features a library, studio, common room and terrace.
