[+] TOKYO: TRUNK (HOUSE)
The team behind Tokyo's popular Trunk (Hotel) has opened a 15-room property to follow its success. is an immersive 'first-of-its-kind' townhouse hotel, located in the Japanese city’s historic Kagurazaka neighbourhood. The building is a restored 70-year-old two-storey former geisha house, designed by Trunk to mirror local residential life, revived with a blend of contemporary and traditional touches.
[+] LONDON: FENDI CAFFÈ
Brought to life by the Los Angeles-based visual artist Joshua Vides, Fendi Caffè is a temporary pop-up in Harrods' London flagship. Vides transformed the department stores Brompton Deli with his signature black-and-white artwork in collaboration with the luxury fashion house. The café serves up Italian food, but also has a pop-up bar where one can customise a Fendi bag until 31 August.
[+] BEIJING: STARBUCKS NOW
Starbucks has rolled out its first-ever express retail venue in the center of Beijing's financial district. Starbucks Now integrates the global signature café environment with mobile ordering and payment, as well as a delivery service. 'This new retail format and design approach provides us with a platform to offer customers a fast and convenient retail experience,' said Leo Tsoi, chief operating officer and president of Starbucks China Retail.

Located in the heart of Paris' Marais district, Sinner is the newest luxury hotel from Evok Hôtels Collection. Interior designer Tristan Auer rooted his work - spanning 43 rooms and suites, a restaurant and spa - in the history of the neighborhood, influenced by historic ecclesiastical sites. The interiors, decked with materials such as velvet, wood and terracotta, are also a nod to the 70s, and to 'wild nights.'
[+] SAN FRANCISCO: TARTINE INNER SUNSET
Tartine Inner Sunset is the fourth local post from acclaimed San Francisco-based bakery Tartine - there are locations in South Korea and Los Angeles, too. Located close to the Golden Gate Park, the Studio BBA-designed space was inspired by the grounds themselves and was built using materials from the Sunset District to blur the boundary between indoors and out.
[+] CHICAGO: FUEL SPACE BY LULULEMON
Vancouver-based athleisure wear company Lululemon has, for the first time, branched out into hospitality with Fuel Space, a restaurant, coffee shop and bar offering a locally-sourced menu catered to the wellness savvy. The eatery, designed in-house, is part of the brand's new 1,858-sq-m experiential retail space - also its largest to date - in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.
[+] NEW YORK CITY: GROW WITH GOOGLE NYC LEARNING CENTER
Grow with Google Center is a new community venue in Chelsea, built by the company in collaboration with experiential design agency Jack Morton Worldwide. The colorful, playful NYC space is used to host public technology courses aimed at helping people advance their careers. Google and the Jack Morton team built the classrooms - with a split flap display from Oat Foundry - to be approachable, 'interweaving analogue design with its modern subject matter.'
[+] LONDON: LUCKY CAT BY GORDON RAMSAY RESTAURANTS
Lucky Cat is a new Asian-inspired spot at London's Mayfair from Gordon Ramsay Restaurants. The space, designed by AfroditiKrassa, was inspired by 1930s Tokyo - particularly underground Kissa clubs popular during that time. Playful cat references make their appearance throughout the venue, which is fitted with intricate brass screens, antique mirrors, black bamboo paneling and layered linen screens.
[+] MILWAUKEE: SAINT KATE ARTS HOTEL
Each floor of Milwaukee's new Saint Kate Arts Hotel reflects a form of art, so as to celebrate the diversity of the city's growing creative community. The destination - with interiors by Stonehill Taylor - has 219 rooms, five culinary experiences, a 95-seat performance theater and multiple gallery and exhibition spaces dedicated to regional and national art, one of which is the first downtown location of the Museum of Wisconsin Art.
[+] NEW YORK CITY: LYANESS BY MASTERCARD
Mastercard and Spring Studios recently launched Priceless, a hospitality collective in New York City that brings multiple food and drink offerings under one roof. One of the spaces inside the restaurant experience is a replica of Lyaness, a famed London bar from celebrity bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana, designed by 11th Street Workshop. 'When I first walked in it was a surreal experience, from the green marble bar to the view of the River Thames projected on the window, I felt as I was transported back to Sea Containers,' Chetiyawardana said.
